Book Recommendation: From Stone to Living Word

I just finished reading Debbie Blue’s From Stone to Living Word: Letting the Bible Live Again.

One of my favorite images in Blue’s book is the contrast between a stone and an octopus.  Yes, God is our rock, but God is alive, moving, and difficult to grasp.  God is more like an Octopus than a stone.

There is lots of good practical theology in this book.  Blue’s church House of Mercy is just a few blocks from our apartment.  I’d recommend this book highly.
